Hi friends,
Hope you’re enjoying the long weekend! We’ve been busy with friends here on Friday, neighbors over for brunch yesterday and another party last night. Lots of good food and company… we’re squeezing it in while we can!
This week was a mix of really tough runs and really good ones. I never know what I’m going to get! At 36 weeks, here’s the workout recap:
Sunday: 4.5 mile run (tough! I had to walk all the hills and averaged an 11:00 pace)
Monday: 20 minute elliptical 20 minute weight circuit
Tuesday: 5 mile run (felt great! ave 9:40 pace)
Wednesday: 1 mile swim- finally got back in the water
Thursday: 4 slow miles (tough, humid and without the Garmin)
Friday: Taught 45 minute spin class
Saturday: 6.5 run (great run! averaged 9:30 with 3 at 9:00 pace)
And a much deserved rest day today!
Running has been so interesting lately. The bad days are bad but the good days are really good! Yesterday, I checked out a nearby trail that a friend recommended. It’s only a 1.7 mile loop, but it’s nice and flat and would be a great spot to go running with the stroller later this fall. I planned on 5 miles (about 3 loops) but added an extra one because I was feeling good. New scenery helps, too!
Meal plan:
Sunday: Leftovers from brunch (Frittatas, potatoes, fruit)
Monday: Chicken and Veggie Kebabs on the grill
Tuesday: (doubling this to freeze if I’m on top of things!)
Wednesday: Leftovers
Thursday: (with some tortillas and raw veggies, this dip could definitely work as a main dish!)
Friday: Grilled chicken over giant salads
Saturday: Out
Participant highlight: Angela from is a mom of two sweet girls and running with both of them! are always creative and drool-worthy, I wish she could come cook for me! I’ve also loved watching her journey through her second pregnancy and back to running.
How often do your “bad” run days come?
Do you have a dip that you turn into a main dish?
