Even though it’s not even close to cold here in Sunny Florida, it’s still nice to have some indoor cardio routines for a rainy day – and, in your case , a snowy cold day.

Right now it’s already 81 degrees here in Vero Beach. While you are layering up to step out the door, I’m making sureI bring an umbrella during this unseasonably hot and wet fall. So, even though I am still getting my runs in, there are some days I get rained out, or I just want to do something different. And, I thought I’d share a couple of them with you!!

Here are 2 indoor workouts you can do at home (if you have the cardio equipment) or the gym. Give it a try and let me know what you think!! If you are local, visit and sign up for a free 1-week trial so you can do this at our gym!

BONNIE’S CARDIO & CORE WORKOUT

#1: 10 Minutes on the Treadmill (jogging)

Ab Circuit (NO REST BETWEEN EXERCISES) 20  (on decline slant board, feet up/head down) 20  (on decline slant board, feet up/head down) 20  (on the incline board, head up/feed down) 20      X 2

#2: 10 Minutes of High-Intensity Elliptical 

Repeat Ab Circuit, doing 2 sets of 15 reps each

#3: 10 Minutes of Step Mill

Repeat Ab Circuit, doing 1 set of 15 reps each and 1 set of 10 reps REALLY SLOW. 

HIIT CARDIO WORKOUT

This workout is primarily for gym members. Depending on your options in cardio equipment, choose 3 different cardio machines. I like the gauntlet, elliptical and treadmill but ergs are awesome and even bikes work. Set your or for 2 1-minute intervals X 5 rounds for 10 minutes.

#1 Cardio 

10 minute HIIT on the treadmill (jog at 6.0mph at 0% for 1 minute, 6.0mph at at 6% incline for 1 minute. Back to 6.0mph at 0% incline for I minute and then 8.0 at 0% incline for a minute. Walk at 3.5 for a minute. Repeat 2x for 10 minutes.

#2 Cardio 

10 minutes HIIT on the elliptical (1 minute easy, 1 minute hard)

#3 Cardio 

10 minute HIIT on the gauntlet (1 minute easy, 1 minute hard)
