Hello, Hello!

We had a fun afternoon today.  My nephew Weston turned 5 this week, and rather than just buying him a toy, we decided it would be much more fun and memorable to spend the afternoon with him doing something he loved.

And what 5-year-old doesn't love a trip to Hershey's Chocolate World?

We made candy bars, we did some chocolate shopping, and we treated him to his favorite lunch of pizza.  It was a blast for everyone!

I've gotten a few emails lately about what types of classes I'm teaching at my gym, and I thought it would be nice to put together a post on it. I'm teaching quite a bit at the moment, but I absolutely love it.  I love the flexibility, I love that I get to bring Grayson with me and he can hang out and play in the Kids Club, I love motivating people to get fit.

So here is my weekly line-up:

Mondays/Wednesdays: RPM®

is the Les Mills version of an indoor-cycling class. It comes pre-choreographed and you ride to the beats of the music.  I absolutely love RPM and often find it a bit more intense than your average spin class, but I do admit, sometimes teaching the releases over and over does get a bit boring.  I try to teach a different release every week, but it's a lot of learn and memorize new choreo every single week.  Regardless, it's an intense and awesome workout in just 45 minutes of work.  If you've never tried a class, I highly reccomend giving it a shot.

Tuesdays: Cycling and Mommy Boot Camp

I recently picked up a cycling class on Tuesday mornings because we needed it filled.  I also have my Mommy Boot Camp class on Tuesday evenings and at first I thought it might be a little much, but it's not as bad as I thought. I've been wanting to do a free-style cycling class for ages now and when it opened up, I had to jump on it. My Mommy Boot Camp classes are one of my favorite times of the week.  We do a 45 minute stroller circuit workout using resistance bands and light hand weights.  It's interactive so our babes are entertained while we sing songs, jog, and jump around.

Thursdays: Circuit Body Blast

I have been blown away by the popularity of this class.  It's something I started a few months ago and it spread like wildfire.  I get new participants each week and everyone seems to love it!  We do a full-body circuit workout that incorporates strength, cardio, and abs.  It's a face-paced class and you leave feeling like you really worked every muscle.  You can check out some of my example workouts and .

Fridays are usually a rest day or a practice day for me.  I like to reserve one day to come up with new routines, study new moves, or just relax depending on how I'm feeling.  I also take off on the weekends other than some yoga and maybe a few walks with the babe.

So that is my current schedule.  I haven't run in ages and I'm definitely okay with that.  Coming from an every-day-runner kinda girl, that's saying a lot, but it's just not my season right now to run.  Perhaps I'll pick it back up again soon, but for now, I'm totally embracing new workouts and challenging my body in new ways.
