It has been awhile since I’ve posted a workout.
Not that I haven’t been working out, I just haven’t shared any of my workouts in quite some time. Seeing that this blog encompasses a mix of healthy recipes, insights, and yes…fitness, I thought it was about time I provided a little update into my current workout routine.
I recently revealed that for the past few months, I’ve been enjoying a nice balance of exercise routines, and right now, I’m loving (and apparently so is my body) the schedule I’ve adjusted to.
Here is what it looks like…..
Monday- Long Run – 9-10 miles
Tuesday – Run – 5-6 miles abs/light upper body
Wednesday – Run – 5-6 miles abs/ light lower body
Thursday – Full Body Strength 60 min RPM (teaching)
Friday – Run 2-3 miles 60 min RPM (teaching)
Sunday – Body pump yoga
That is what is working for ME right now and at this time in my life. Like I said, I’ve adapted to this routine and my body has really shown improvements in so many areas.
BUT guess what? All of this means nothing starting next week. Once I move to Chicago, I have absolutely no idea what my life schedule will look like, therefore, I have no idea what my fitness routine will be. And, for the first time in my life, I’m 100% okay with that.
I’ve already reached out to some gyms in the area I’ll be living and hope to find one to teach cycle classes from. I’m also scouting out a yoga studio to continue with my resolution of taking more yoga classes. I do know my apartment complex has a gym, which is very convenient, but again, my work schedule is going to be nothing like it is now, so I’ll have to adapt and fit it in when I can.
Last year, I made a promise to myself that I would let go of unhealthy routine and I can honestly tell you, I’ve done just that. I love working out, I love to run, and I love to teach, but I also love to live my life for the incredible experiences that occur. For too long, I was ignoring these moments because I was all too confined in MY routine where I was comfortable and grounded.
