When I got done at the gym last Monday I was shocked at how great I felt. Yes, I was tired from my workout. But it felt as if I sweated out every care in the world.
So here’s what I did in those 40 minutes:
When you are doing the circuits, try your best not to rest in between. No more than 5-10 seconds switching exercises!
I’ve been doing circuits as part of my workouts each week because of a session I had with the trainer at the gym. Usually when you sign up at a gym, they give you a complimentary session so that you can ask questions on what you should do to reach your goals.
I took advantage and asked several questions. You should do the same and note that they won’t always be willing to give you all their knowledge in one session. The other reason they give you this is to make you want to pay for more. And maybe if I had extra money to spend, I’d get a trainer, but to be honest most of the information they feed you is based on there preference and style of exercise and not always what would be best for you. So keep that in mind before you have a session with a trainer at your local gym (especially if you’re paying for it!).

Also, if you’re looking for other routines because you can’t figure out what to do or are just not creative check out from Shape Magazine and from Women’s Health. And don’t worry – after reading a few of these you will find yourself making up your own, too!
As I walked out of the gym, I noticed there was a note on the white board. This usually has special promotions for us and prospective members. It read:
When you feel like quitting, think about why you started!
