Workout Routine Just Dumbbells

Hey dear,

I have decided to switch up my gym routine and incorporate heavier weights. As a self professed cardio queen, I’ve never really emphasised the lifting of weights in my gym routine but that has all changed! After reaching a plateau in my gym progress and maintaining the same weight and same definition, something had to change.

My workout routine now looks like this:

  • 2 weight based workouts a week (including 20 mins of cardio)
  • 2 cardio based workouts a week (1 big run 6km and 1 short run and cross trainer/bike)
  • 30 day ab/ 30 day Fit every day

I aim to get down to the gym 4 times a week but that’s easier said than done, as I’m in my last year of school and have exam prep, essays and revision that takes up the majority of my time. I found 2 new exercise-related apps called 30 day ab and 30 day fit, which have been fantastic because they give you exercises which relate specifically to different areas of the body. You can find these apps on both the app store and the play store, and I shall be doing a blog/review post on them after I’ve finished the first round of 30 days. At some point, I will also do a blog post that goes into more detail about my workout routines and I hope to post more than once a week but this might not be possible because of school work.

If you have any workouts that you love please tell me because i’m really interested in doing new things. Also, if you do any exercise classes please tell me because I want to try them out but I don’t know which one to start with haha.
