Tai Chi With James Sutton Day: Mondays Time: 6:30-7:30 pm Location: Clubhouse or under the shelter on warm days Price: $10/class (billed to account if preferred) Program Description: Tai Chi is a martial art and exercise for overall well-being and conditioning incorporating dynamic movement that improves energy flow throughout the body. Tai Chi helps to ease tension, enhance awareness, and improve balance and strength. This class will focus on the Chen style and various Qi (energy) enhancing exercises. Please wear comfortable clothing, athletic/ soft soled shoes. Ladies Conditioning with Meg Day: Tuesdays Time: 5:30-6:30pm (continues through May 24, 2016) Location: Clubhouse Price: $10/class paid to Meg Program Description: The Ladies Fitness Clinics with Meg Pomerantz will continue through May 24 depending on interest. Please use to select the dates that you will be able to attend the Ladies Fitness Clinics at the Farm from March 15 – May 24. Only the classes with at least 3participants will be held. Each class will be held from 5:30-6:30pm _____________________________________________________________ PopUp Cardio Workout with Katie Corley Days: Tuesdays (no Pop Up on Tuesday March 29 due to mini camps) Time: 8:30am-9:30am Location: Clubhouse Cost: $10 paid to Katie Program Description: PopUp Workout is an hour long, full body workout that will challenge your body and deliver real results. Each class incorporates cardio and toning intervals that are focused on strengthening and lengthening all of the muscles in your body. Compound movements using light weights, resistance bands, balls, and gliders work both small and large muscle groups to fatigue. Cardio bursts keep the heart rate up for maximum calorie burn. Finish off with a great stretch and you will leave energized for the rest of your day. For more information please visit our website: or contact Katie Corley at Yoga 101 beginner Series with Gillian (8 week series starts March 24) Day:Thursdays Time: 10-11:00am Location: Yoga Room Price: $80 paid to Gillian Program Description: Yoga 101 is designed to teach you the basics of yoga in a small group setting with plenty of explanation. Perfect for those new to yoga or wanting a refresher, this is run as a closed series, meaning you’ll register for the entire set of classes, so that we can all be on the same page. These series can fill up a few weeks ahead, so sign up early! Yoga level 1 with Gillian Day: Tuesdays Time: 10:00-11am Location: Yoga Room Price: $10 paid to Gillian Program Description: This class is appropriate for individuals who have taken Yoga 101 class or have basic yoga experience. You will learn more about the fundamentals of postures. We will focus on reclined poses to cultivate awareness, and standing poses to develop strength and balance. YogaLevel 2 with Gillian (ongoing) Days Fridays & Saturdays Time: 10:00- 11:15am Location: Farm Yoga Room Price: $10/class Program Description: This is Gillian’s most advanced Yoga class at the Farm and it is reommended that participants take the first two levels before joining the level 2 class and/or have prior yoga experience. Gillian’s teaching stems from a classical Yoga background and is strongly influenced by Iyengar. Gillian uses props, such as belts, blocks, and straps as aids to help participants into asanas (poses) one step at a time. Focus is on structural alignment, development of strength, stamina, flexibility, balance and concentration (Dharana). You may email Gillian directly for more information at . Pilates with Rebecca Day: Saturdays (No class March 26) Time: 9:00am- 10:00am Location: Clubhouse Cost: $10/class Class Description: Pilates is a system of controlled exercises that engage the mind and condition the total body. The blend of strength and flexibility trainingimproves posture, reduces stress and creates long, lean muscles. This form of exercise is perfect any age and level of fitness. Pilates low impact exercise that is performed on a mat and is easy on the joints. It can be modified further for injury or inflexibility. Pilates takes a balanced approach so that no muscle group is overworked and the body moves as an efficient, holistic system in sport and daily activity. ________________________________________________________________________________ Farm Water Conditioning & Aerobics Days: Tuesdays & Thursdays (Starts the first Tuesday in June 7th through Thursday August 18) Time: 5:30-6:30pm Location: lower pool Instructors: Meg Pomerantz & Rebecca Wolonick Price: $10/ class (billed to account) Program Description: Water Conditioning & Aerobics is a great work out and helps to build overall cardio & body strength without taxing the joints. Prior Sign up is preferred (see attached application form) however, not required, just come get arefreshing after work workout. Classes will meet in the lower pool. No sign up necessary just come join us in the lower pool!
