This fitness program is the follow on from the original 21 day fix and is aimed at more advanced exercisers who want more of a challenge. This is the program that will shift your fitness up to the next level and get you lean, toned and shredded.
The program is based around circuit training, just like its predecessor, and features 7 workouts on 2 DVDs.You work out every day for two weeks using routines which incorporate Plyometrics (jumping), upper focus, lower focus, Pilates, cardio, yoga and compound exercises. I’d say that the difficulty level is pitched somewhere between the original 21 Day Fix and T25.
Autumn Calabrese does her usual awesome job of guiding you through the moves and the nutrition system uses the same simple portion containers as the previous program.
As long as you stay with the eating plan you will get great results and get them fast. Believe me, you will feel sore afterwards (sorry, I see this as a good thing). And you will be challenged.
It only lasts 21 days so you don’t get bored (although this is one program you could do a few times before moving on to T25 or Insanity). There’s lots of variety of exercises too.
The nutrition plan is the best I’ve used out of all the fitness programs I’ve done.
There is a modifier (for Intermediate exercisers).
You don’t need much equipment, just some dumbbells or resistance bands.
You aren’t required to do two workouts on any days (unlike with the previous program). So it really is only 30 minutes.
This definitely isn’t for beginners or people with joint issues. Jumping and high impact is required for some sections.
You will need to invest in some dumbbells.
If you hate leg work then this program isn’t for you. Lots of lower focus is used to really burn those calories.
No cheats or treats allowed in the nutrition plan this time.
